LAHORE: While addressing a press conference, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM) leader Kanwar Naveed Jameel declared that it will contest 2018 general elections under its own party symbol and manifesto.
The alliance was made between MQM-P’s Pakistan faction and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) a day earlier (on Wednesday).
The leaders of both the parties decided to let go bitter rivalry and emerge as a greater political force on Wednesday. However, in Thursday’s press conference Jameel made it clear that they would not change their manifesto and electoral symbol regardless of the political coalition with PSP.
He maintained that party leaders in a meeting expressed absolute trust on Dr. Farooq Sattar. He further added that party worker must not get confused with statements issued by ‘political personalities and TV persons.
